Dra. Ariadna Uriarte
Médico y neuropsicóloga
Terapista cognitiva conductual
Ariadna Uriarte, MD, holds degrees in general surgery, neuropsychology, sexology, and cognitive behavioral therapy. Most recently she completed a certification for cutting-edge psychedelic therapy through the Integrative Psychiatric Institute in partnership with MAPS in Boulder, CO.
After graduating from the esteemed Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana and completing her medical training, she worked at a private-care institution for nearly five years, performing more than 6,000 surgeries on children with cerebral palsy. During that time, she was able to observe how these operations had a positive effect not only on the body of the patient, but also on the psyche. This realization prompted her to resume her studies of the human mind and pursue a master's degree in neuropsychology, and later to specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy. She completed a second master's degree in clinical sexology and couples therapy from the University of Wyoming.
In addition to her medical practice, she has consulted for wellness centers, worked with world class athletes, and has assisted for the international Wim Hof Method Academy as a teacher’s trainer. She is a Wim Hof Method Level 2 Instructor.
Dr. Uriarte believes that it takes more than theory to connect with a patient, and even more to provide an accurate diagnosis with an appropriate and timely treatment. This conviction has led her to conclude that in order to truly connect with and help people, medicine must become the most artistic of the sciences. For many years, she has explored what goes on in the human mind, from clear and conscious thoughts to the most buried unconscious behaviors. She has dedicated her professional life to the arena of health, especially mental health. As a cognitive behavioral therapist, Dr. Uriarte currently treats patients in her private clinic using strategies that address the whole person.
